Second post for the Fire & Ice blog hop. I love how this is going.
So, today I am featuring an amazing series which I only started reading recently. And this is the Vampire Academy. I've only read the first book so far but loved it.
Here's my review
Now I know why everyone goes crazy about this series. Yeap, this book was amazing. I loved it. As of now I am a VA fan. And since almost everyone has read this book I am going to keep my review short.What I liked:
The characters, the setting, the Vampire history, the whole world was brought to life by the amazing writing of Richelle Mead. After a few pages I wanted to be a student in the Academy. I also loved who the plot made sense. Every thing fall into place by the end. And if you tried hard enough you could figure it all out on your own. Of course there were a few surprises at the end.
What I didn't like:
Well, basically nothing. But the one thing that kept bugging me till the end, was Rose's constant flirting with everyone. It makes her look weak and insecure, that she would need guys approval to feel good. I honestly hope it stops. Otherwise I loved her to pieces.
So, I can't wait to read the next book, which I luckily own, and finally meet Andrian. I was a bit dissapointed to find out he wasn't in this book.

ReplyDeleteI haven't read any of the books yet, but I have heard nothing but amazing things about them and am dying to read them. It's definitely a daunting series to take on since there are so many books, but it's at the top of my TBR list :)

ReplyDeleteIt's funny you're just starting this series b/c I'm starting it this year, too! Everyone has been telling me how great Richelle Mead is and to start with VA. I have her adult Succubus series (first book), too. But everyone keeps saying this is the one to start with!!! Now, to just find the time.... UGH!!!!

ReplyDeleteI have read this series and it's my favorite!! I love Dimitri and I'm so excited with the movie! Have you seen Danila..?? OMG!! I only own the first three books on paper, I had to buy the next ones in ebook because I COULDN'T WAIT TO READ THEM ALL! I remember it was a very intense week reading all the six books! :) Thank you!

ReplyDeleteI have read & loved all of the books in this series. My favorites being book 1, 2 & 3. I recommend to anyone who hasn't read them, to do so. Dimitri is just so ... dreamy.

The Vampire Academy series is awesome, yes I've read some and I have to say there is nothing like it. I am so glad Richelle Mead created a spin off series, Bloodlines because the characters are awesome and there can never be enough books for them.
