MY REVIEW

You can read my review of Switch(New World, #1) here.

*I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.*

Masked is the second book in the New World series, so this review might contain spoilers from the first book, but I'll try to keep it as spoiler free as possible.

Masked is the story of Bridgette and Roman. After the events of the first book, Bridgette switches places with her sister, and starts working inside the New World Order headquarters as Weapon X. The only problem is that it's becoming really hard to act like her sister, especially when she is around Roman Adamson, second in command of the New World Order.

Masked was just as amazing as Switch and maybe even more. Since we already knew the characters from the first book it was really easy getting sucked inside the story. All those amazing, hot boys Janelle created will keep you wanting more. One bonus in this book is the Archers, another resistance group in New Berlin. I was kind of excited when we met them, 'cause they weren't what I expected and they set the basis for the next couple of books. The two resistance groups are really fun to read about. The were so many hilarious moments, just because they all had to be in the same room. And of course so much action. I love it!

Of course there is also romance. Hot steamy BridgexRoman romance. I love those two. The have such great chemistry, even if they kind of fell in love in first sight. I think I like them even better than McKay and Charlotte from the first book, but that's probably because while I was reading this book Bridgette reminded me so much of me. If only I had Roman, too... Anyways, the big surprise for me in this book is that I actually couldn't help but fall in love with Ludwig, the bad guy... I don't know how Janelle does it but she has a way of working her magic to the readers. She can give a soul to the devil, in our case Ludwig, and can make us fall for him.

This book of course ended in another WTF moment. I was expecting that after reading the first one. But there were also a few other twists throughout the book that had me socked out of my chair.

Anyways, this is an amazing New Adult Dystopian book. With beautiful world-building and such alive and unique characters. I can't wait for more.
