My Thoughts:

Ok, so where to begin with this book?

Well, Evie, our heroine, was very funny and I loved how she described everything. I am a huge fan of tv series and lockers myself and enjoy spending time inside her head. She had just the right mix of bravery, humour and irony. And all the way she was concerned with doing the right thing. I love a character that believes in something and sticks to that.

Now about the plot, the story was nice, well build, there where a lot of hints about everything so no major surprise, but I enjoyed it very much. But sometimes it felt like Evie didn't had the chance to anything to move the plot forward, she was just drag around by everything that happened.

I also loved the titles of each chapter. That was one great touch! :)

My Thoughts:
Oh My God! Where do I begin with Hex Hall? The book was so amazing I had to force myself to stop reading it cause I had a life to live. I loved it!!!

The cover is so pretty I knew I had to buy it in hardback from the first time I saw it. Thank God I did!

Sophie is a smart, funny heroine, who I loved from the first page. Hex Hall is a place I'd kill to be really, just like Hogwarts. The story was amazing, I loved that there were so many things from the past that influence the story line.

I ordered the next one before I was finished but I still have to wait a week to get my hands on it. I want so bad to read it!

The Amulet: A Faedra Bennett Custodian Novel by Alison Pensy

After this book I realized I'm not a big fan of fairies. Don't get me wrong I adore the little, funky fairies, with great sense of humour and maybe too much confidence, but the full-sized ones...well not so much. I find them, kind of wrong. Don't know why...:P

Anyways, this book was about Faedra, a Custodian of a fae amulet. When she turns 18 her powers are turned on and all bad things start to happen. She is being chased by uglie Redcaps, her dog turns into a handsome fairy and the worlds vegetation strats getting destroyed.

She soon has to travel to the fae realm to find out what is causing the world's destruction and face the ones responsibles.

The book was, simply, boring until the time Faedra went to the fae realm, and that was half way through it. After that the story started to get better, but there were no major surprises and I could figure out some things that were left unsaid for the next book, which I will read in hopes of being like the second half of this one.

Oh.My.Gods by Tera Lynn Childs

A fun and fast read!

Phoebe's life is about to change dramatically, when her moms moves them to a tiny island in Greece to live with her new husband. What Phoebe doesn't know is that the island's only Academy is a super private school for Gods' descendents. She feels like an outcast, the only normal -nothos- kid in a school filled with semi-gods. But that doesn't stop her from pursuing her dream in running and making the school's team.

Soon enough she makes new friends, new enemies and a very cute and dangerous crush.

The story is short and fast-passed. We don't get to learn that much about the characters, so they are likable but I didn't really feel connected with ony of them. Phoebe is a cool heroine who likes to win and won't even go easy on her crush.

The book was supposed to be about the academy of semi-gods, but half way through it I forgot all about them and their powers, nothing paranormali was really happening. I was expecting more action besides the running parts. But there was no big evil to fight, no training to learn how to use your powers, no nothing.

I think the next book, Goddess Boot Camp, is going to be better...cause it's about Phoebe learning to use her new powers.

Crushed (The Witch-Game #1) by K.C. Blake

Kristen, Brittany and Cyndi are triplets and witches. Every year each of them picks a boy to crush with her colored dust. The boy is supposed to fall in love with them and do whatever his instructed to. But once Kristen crushes the schools bad boy, Zach, it seems that something has gone wrong. Little does she know that Zach is a warlock himself and he doesn't like beeing crushed, so he decides to have a little fun with the little witch while trying to make her uncrush him. But fate has something other in store for them. A new witch is in town and she obviously doen't like Kristen. The two of them will have to unite their powers to find out who she is and what she wants. And not every everyone will like the answers.

The first half of the book was a little bit slow. I would like Zach to play around with Kristen more before the two of them started to fall for each other. All the characters where memorable and the story was solid but I didn't feel that drown to it. The one thing I adores about this book is Zach, he was the perfect boyfriend material.

I'm very curious about the next book, cause in this one the ending was very final. I wonder if it's going to be about the same characters.

Texas Gothic by Rosemary Clement-Moore

Amy and Phin are spending their summer watching over their aunts farm, away from their family Goodnight magic. Or this is what they think. After a skeleton is found where a bridge is supposed to be build, the mystery of a town ghost is thrust upon them waiting to be solved. Amy, who has spend her whole life trying to balance her family world and the real one, will find herself in the middle of everything and will have to accept her onw magic if she wants to make it out alive.

The story is really nice. I loved the mystery and how it got resolved. Also I loved Phin, Amy's older sister, she is a mad scientist type that you have to adore. The romance element was settle and really nice at times.

The downside is that it was really slow at the first half of it. Only after the middle everything started to move faster and exciting things happened.
