Blog Tour: Eden-East by Janelle Stalder

Eden-East (Eden #4)
by Janelle Stalder

New life, new deaths, and truths revealed. Everything ends now.

In the final installment of the Eden series, the King’s army prepares for their biggest battle yet. Aiden and his friends set out to find Aziz in his hidden mountain fortress and bring the war in Eden to an end. But secrets are being discovered along the way, and the weight of them could ruin lives. Aiden is coping with loss and the need for vengeance, as well as changes in himself he doesn’t quite understand. Thousands of lives are depending on him to stop Aziz once and for all, and this time Aiden is more than ready and confident he’ll be the one to do it. The stakes are higher than he ever anticipated on his journey east.

Elisa is embarking on a new phase of her life. She has the man she loves beside her, their group of friends have become stronger, and the end of war is in sight. Now she just needs to see it through so she can finally have her happily ever after. But she knows the truth that the others don’t, and it will test her loyalty and friendship more than anything ever has.

With two brothers side by side, and an army ready for war, the only thing left to be seen is who will live and who will die.

Welcome to the thrilling conclusion of your journey into Eden.

My Review

The conclusion to this amazing series was all I could hope for and then some. Such an amazing ending by Janelle. It had everything. Hope, love, sadness. It made me feel that usual bittersweet feeling that I get when I finish a series that has been a part of me for some time. Only the fact that Janelle is writing a spin-off series is kind of a huge plus. I wasn't ready to leave this world behind. I realize now that there is a good reason Epic Fantasy books have usually so many sequels and it's because of the world building. The authors take so much time to create a new world that then it's a part of them and us. And this is exactly what's happening with Eden. Yes, it might be a YA fantasy book, but it has all the great aspects of an Epic Fantasy book. So many battles, an insane villain, all the shades of grey that go along with the sides of war, and so many characters and POVs.

I realize this is not much of a review so far, but this is the end of this series and I do want to rave about all the things I loved before I move on to the next book. And yes, there are spoilers from the previous books below.

Favorite male character: Logan, he is the most fun character, he can bring hope with his words and I adore his for that.
Favorite female character: Elisa, she is so kick-ass yet such a girl sometimes, I can't help but love her.
Favorite couple: Elisa and Wolf, I loved those two from the very first book.
Favorite villain(even though he/she might turn to be good after all): Callum, ok, he isn't much of a super villain, but I also believe that if he hadn't met Rose in the first book, things would have been very different for him, he would have lost himself in his revenge.
Favorite part of Eden(the world not the book): Central Eden, I know that the South is possibly the most beautiful place as all the characters said, and the West is really awesome with the Riders there, but Central Eden and the Capital just feel like home.

Ok, these are some of the parts that I thing I would always love about this book. Let's get back to the actual book now. There are no spoilers of this book below so read ahead.

In the final installment of Eden everything starts amazing, Elisa and Wolf are finally together, the war between Jameson and Callum has ended and their family is brought back together and with no casualties. So, everything is great...except Lily has been kidnapped by a winged man and all Aiden wants is to get her back but has no idea where she is. Even though they know she was taken by Aziz. So, with along with an army they would go to the East to search for her. What they don't know is that's exactly what Aziz wants, for Aiden to come to him in his own free will.

There are a lot of questions answered in this book about Aiden and the world of Eden, things I didn't even know needed an answer come to the surface. Janelle didn't disappoint me though. She twisted and bended the storyline, made my heart race and stop from scene to scene. Amazing storytelling and writing. If you haven't read any of her books yet you have to. Seriously go get the first book of Eden and try not to fall in love with the world she created.
